Jackie Robinson

Jackie's College Career

Robinson attended Pasadena Junior College (PJC) after he graduated from high school. Robinson excelled in sports just as much as he did in high school. He played for their baseball, football, and basketball teams. In 1938, he was elected to the All-Southland Junior College team for baseball. He was also named the Most Valuable Player in his region. On February 14, 1939, after his last basketball game, he was awarded a gold pin and was named the Junior College's "Order of the Mast and Dagger". In 1939 he left PJC and transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). There he excelled in sports once again and was the first ever athlete to get varsity letters in four sports, baseball, football, basketball, and track.

This also ties into the main topic because it also shows the competitiveness that he had to go through and he was still one of the best.  The Awards that Robinson recieved proves what an amazing athlete he is and proves that he can play just as well as anybody.
